Jessica, I just finished "The Instant When Everything is Perfect". I picked it up yesterday when I went to the bookstore to attend the author event for my writer's write up. Once I started, I had to finish before I could put
it down. I have to say that I really enjoyed the story, and especially appreciated the ending. Almost everything we read today that deals with adultery always leads back to staying married as the only way to achieve a "happy" ending. How can we believe, though, that if a person (or people) were so
miserable in a marriage that they stepped outside of it to fulfill their needs, that they are going to be happy staying married? I know that sometimes, for some people, it is possible- the "kick in the ass" that they needed to fix things, but it can't always be the right thing.
I just wanted to share with you how much I appreciated the story.

Hi, Annette--
I truly appreciate what you've said here, as I had to really work my editor on this concept at all. She had a huge problem with what Mia did--and I was thinking, well, isn't that what people do in order to shake themselves awake?
