I want to thank you for dedicating your book to our daughter, Karri. I'm sure after reading the many articles about Karri in magazines and on the internet, you were able to get a sense of what a special young woman she was. Karri was always an "old soul" -- much wiser than her years. She visits us often...but that's another story!!

Wow, I don't know what to say. I didn't really know how to find you, and as I have a mother who lost a daughter early, I wasn't sure if I should send a book anyway. It's so hard to lose a child, and really, that's what my novel is all about. I heard about Karri when I was researching, and I felt that she was of that special age, with a special energy, and I thought about her when I was writing the character of Sofie.
